Retro Fit.

The other method of installation is termed a retro fit installation. This is a much more economic approach. In this case the existing frame is not removed. The glass, mullions and extra trims are cut away from the existing window. The new window is then installed within the original window frame, shimmed, insulated and finished with an exterior aluminum flashing.
